3 ways to hang a quilt on a wall

I’m obviously a big fan of displaying quilted textile art in your home or workspace, it adds texture and warmth that you just don’t get with regular framed art. If you are looking for ways to display your quilt then look no further. Here are 3 options depending on your style, budget, and time.

1. Hanging sleeve and dowel

Investment: £££

This is My favourite way to display a quilt as it appears that the quilt is floating with no visible attachments. For this option you’ll need to select the hanging sleeve option before checkout and then follow these simple step-by-step instructions. You’ll need to purchase a wooden dowel cut to size, but these are very inexpensive and widely available. For smaller quilts you can hang from one nail, but for larger quilts you may want to hang from two nails to ensure it hangs level.

2. Quilt clips

Investment: £££

These clips are a really simple and cute way to display your quilt and other textiles on a wall. You’ll need to double check that the clips are level and at the correct distance before fixing them to the wall. For larger quilts you could use 4 clips to be extra secure. The clips pictured are from an Etsy seller Crebri who have other wood finishes available.

A more expensive but super stylish option to display your quilt is a custom made quilt hanger frame. They look beautiful in super modern rooms and certainly add a touch of luxury to your walls. Well Made Chicago on Etsy make my favourite hangers with lots of wood finishes available.
